Find open reading frames and translate DNA sequences into amino acid sequences for routine coding-region checks.
ORF and Protein Translator is a browser-based tool for finding open reading frames and translating DNA to protein.
Use note: Use likely coding sequences for Codon Optimizer or Primer Designer during expression planning.
Accepted file types: .txt, .fa, .fasta, .fna, .ffn, .seq, .gb, .gbk, .genbank. Plain-text DNA, FASTA, or GenBank text only.
Circular DNA/plasmids are not handled as circular yet. For regions that cross base 1, paste the relevant region as linear FASTA or raw DNA sequence.
The frame view filters translation, ATG start markers, frame summary, ORF map, ORF table, and copied ORF outputs.
